Sun. Sea. Wine.
Wine at lunch. Wine at dinner.
Ah yes, sounds like the diet I’ve been looking for!
From a really young age I can clearly remember sitting down to eat to the sound of the sea and the hum of restaurant chatter on the many holidays Mum and Dad took me on.
The French, the Spanish, the Greek: Those guys really know how to eat.
They take meal times and use it as a chance to rejuvenate – I think we wouldn’t hit that 3 o’ clock slump if we just took more time to eat and not only that, eat the good stuff like they do.
It’s the sun ripened beef tomatoes; it’s the olive oil, the fresh bread and most importantly, the company.
I don’t know what came over me today, but everyone seemed to be in the right place at the right time: My house.
We all dug in to a table laden with creamy mozzarella, baguette, some beautifully fresh basil leaves, olive oil and obviously, wine!
So, I urge you to take note from our neighbours who share laughter and stories over their daily feasts, because if there is one thing that the world needs right now, it’s togetherness…
